travelling with a pc

Is it safe to stick a complete computer system in a luggage bag, that will be going on an airplane. Carry on is not an option.

If it's not safe to put it in there whole, what should I take out of it. I want to keep the amount of stuff I have to take out to a minimum, since the comp is my sister's, and she isn't quite capable of putting a system together. It's a P4 with a stock heatsink/fan. one hard drive. I'm pretty sure the other stuff should be safe, since it survived the cross country fedex trip and she'l be able to cushion the case with clothes and stuff.

Just make sure nothing heavy is mounted and taped securely in the case or otherwise securely packaged. Also, make sure it's easy for the transportation nazis to look at it...they seem to like to break high tech stuff so be careful.
