travelling around the world...

Okay, here is my financial situation. I'm 20 right now, working at a summer job full time (40+ hours) so i get 2k a month less tax. I should be making 7k a year when i work over summer/winter break.

I want to expand my horizons and travel around the world (in 2 years), the job is pretty stable so nothing to worry about there and i might even get a raise later on. how much does it cost? if I'm gonna do it it's probably going to be in 2006 and I'll stop by Germany to watch world cup... any ideas?

Uh...it will be quite expensive going from continent to continent, but intracontinental travel shouldnt be too bad. I assume you will be "backpacking" and staying at hostels and the such.

Find out how much it is to fly from continent to continent, then check rail ticket prices, then budget for food and lodging.
