Hello I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section I didnt know anywhere else to put it
I have to travel to california soon (i live in nyc) and i want to bring my computer with me.. I've never brought my comp with me on trips so I'm not sure how to do it.. I was wondering what would be the safest way? I will be on a plane and its a CoolerMaster ATC-110 Extended ATX case and a ViewSonic A90f+ monitor if that helps
thx in advance!

You might want to remove the CPU heatsink, especially if you've got a bare-core CPU. Any rocking could damage the core. Disconnect the motherboard power cord too so that you don't go turning the computer on without a heatsink.
And your videocard - newer ones have big heatsink/fan assemblies. Take it out and store it separately too.

Monitor - just don't store it face down; maybe put something soft over the screen so that any coatings on it won't get damaged.
Otherwise, make sure all screws are fastened securely so that nothing gets loose and bounces around in transit.
