traveling...suggestions needed

As soon as school is over, I will be heading to Malaysia (Kuala Lampur), Indonesia (jakarata/bali), Thailand (Bangkok I think), and Vietnam (Hanoi). Then, I will be going to India. Where would the best place be to buy technology stuff, like laptops, cell phones etc. Also, do you guys have any suggestions on places I should go/things I should buy at each country? Thanks for your help.

The best place in Vietnam (and on earth IMO) is just outside of Da Nang. At the train station, bus stop, or airport in Da Nang, ask a motorbike driver to take you to China Beach. They will bring you to Hoa's Place. Hoa is the coolest mofo on the planet and every night him and his wife serve $1.50 all-you-can-eat "family dinners" where all the travellers gather. Don't actually stay at Hoa's gueshouse, though. Ask Hoa to get you a room with Ngoi. Nothing wrong with Hoa's rooms but Ngoi is a cool guy and needs the business. $8/night with air conditioning.

I had this big SE trip planned out but when I ended up in Da Nang I spent over a week there. I think I'm going back this year.
