It's not the coolest looking things but I wanted to get a couple for our trip ... the last thing I want in this trip is to lose my passport or credit cards.

I checked ebags.com and amazon and they had some but I wasn't sure if those were the best places to look.

:edit: I can't spell

a rubberband or two around your wallet works pretty well, too.

could always just front-pocket your id and cash.

Wherever you're going is probably safer than home anyways ;P

They sell them everywhere. Look at your local travel store, REI, Target, etc. And they don't "thwart" off pick pockets.

just keep your money in your front pocket if you're worried.

not looking like a clueless tourist is probably your best defense.

Yeah I think the pickpocket scare is way over-rated. I walked through CDG airport in Paris for about 3 hours (unknowingly) and then on the RER (train to Paris) with my backpack half unzipped-- and I had a laptop, camera, PSP, 2 cell phones, and a bunch of other stuff I'd really be upset if I lost. I still used a money belt when I was traveling around the cities, but I just kept my passport in it. Kept my wallet in my front pocket and it was all good.
