Going on a 2 1/2hr flight and then sitting passenger in a car for another six hours. Any ideas of what to pickup for killing time? Looking to make a purchase but undecided on what to get.

Thanks!

You already have a list.
Work with that.
Depends on what you like to do most of all, what kind of games you like, etc.

I bring a book, zune, nintendo DS, notepad and a book of the people puzzlers.

I've got a laptop too but rarely use it.

Most of the time I do a few crosswords, listen to my zune and read.

Unless you're in a car and easily get migraines from reading.
Constant vomiting is certainly a way to pass time, though generally not a pleasant one. ;)

zune sucks. sucks to setup, sucks to move music too, etc

get a creative zen. Smaller, sleeker, and you can just hook it up as a usb drive and dump your mp3 to it.

Sleeping pills are good for long trips and time zone changes. Books are good too.

normally i'd agree, but its hard to get a decent 30gb movie player for ~$100

P.S. - zune sucks for syncing, the UI sucks, and stuff, but i use it as a movie player and its quite decent

1) Some osrt of portable music player
2) Book, or crossword puzzle book
3) Sleep

Try bringing a pillow. People may look at you funny, but not once you prop your head on it an fall asleep.

Instead of a book, perhaps you could buy a few magazines instead.

i usually go with a couple magazine and a book, for variety's sake. (along with my psp and zune. That plus my psp is usually more than enough. Having a laptop to boot? (IF there is wireless?) I don't see how one could want more (though they may still be bored)
