travel advice?

I only use an agent for constructing some sort of package deal or am arranging group travel.

Otherwise, it's cheaper to buy your own plane/train/Eurail tickets and make hotel reservations online.

What kind of travel are you planning on doing?

Being a travel agent is a dead end career. There was a time when a travel agent could save you $$$. Now all the airlines, in a bid to save money, have cut commissions to travel agents. There are still a bunch around and they do know all the "secrets" to getting a cheaper airfare though.

i am looking for plane tickets from atlanta to nairobi in august. the reason i am looking for an agent is it appears to be cheaper to fly to the UK and then to kenya as 2 seperate flights instead of round trip.

I know you can fly from Atlanta (ATL) to Johannes, South Africa (JNB) but not directly to Nairobi (NBO).

Either you go through JNB or through a European airport: FRA, CDG, or LGW.
