Trash digger

Came home from work the other day to see this sitting by the trash bin for my house. Figuring what the hell I brought it in the house to test it out. Sure enough it works. 🙂

Of course, for now I have no where to use it so it's just sitting in the garage.

Bastard, now what are the homeless going to watch.

You could ebay it and say it's a mystery TV that you found.

Geez... a guy can't even set his TV down outside to go to the bathroom before he hauls it up all those stairs. THANKS A LOT!!!
😉

I work in the solid waste industry. I strongly advise you NOT to dumpster dive. For one small, recent example, a few weeks ago we found about 80 vials of human blood in a dumpster. Our best guess for their origin is the local AIDS testing public health clinic.

Exactly why I've always thought dumpster divers were a little crazy because you never know what's in them. There are some huge threads devoted to diving and so far I've never seen any that indicate they were stuck or anything but the opportunity always exists.

On the other hand they sure have found some good stuff that people and companies tossed!

Other examples:
Equipment operator cleaning off a piece of heavy equipment at the landfill gets stuck by a stray hypodermic needles that was lodged in the equipment. He (thankfully) tests negative for any infections.
Someone put the explosive device that deploys an airbag into the container at the transfer site that is meant for used oil jugs and paint cans.
An insecticide was spilled at a transfer station and it was giving off a noxious odor. The particular insecticide is a human nerve agent (i.e. WMD capable)
A container of hydrofluoric acid was abandoned at a transfer site. Hydrofluoric acid soaks through your skin and dissolves the calcium in your bones.
