I like how he drives around in a Tuk Tuk. That's dedication.

http://www.11alive.com/article/news/transracial-man-born-white-feels-like-he-is-filipino/491348396

Riding in a flamboyant purple vehicle, Ja Du shows up to a coffee shop to open up about his new identity.

Ja Du, born a white male named Adam, now considers himself a Filipino. Turns out the purple ride he drives around in is called a Tuk Tuk, an Asian-derived vehicle used for public transit in the Philippines he says.

Ja Du is part of a small, but growing community of people who considers themselves transracial. It refers to someone born one race, but identifies with another.

Sound weird? Not to them. Ja Du says he grew up enjoying Filipino food, events and the overall culture.

“Whenever I’m around the music, around the food, I feel like I’m in my own skin,” he said.

“I’d watch the history channel sometimes for hours you know whenever it came to that and you know nothing else intrigued me more but things about Filipino culture.”

If you’re thinking this sounds familiar, you might remember the story of Rachel Dolezal. Dolezal was born white, but identified as black and portrayed herself as such. She was even the president of the Spokane, Washington, chapter of the NAACP.

After she appeared on an episode of Dr. Phil, the term transracial started to become more widely known. Now, we are finding out this community of people who identify as another race is growing. If you look on Facebook, where we found Ja Du, groups dubbed transracial are popping up with dozens of members.

True story: when I was ~9 or 10, I thought I'd prefer being Japanese. Then around 15 or so, I learned that Japanese culture really wasn't about samurais but was about infantile cartoon porn, dirty panty fetishes, and marrying your pillow.

Oh cool, so he's no longer white. I guess his evote now gets +1 for not being white. Top bad he is male, that's basically a negative 1.

If you read the rest of the article, you'll get to this:

He is also transsexual and is considering changing his gender as well. He has spoken to his mom and family about that.

So +2 in the end.

Hey man, if you don't appreciate dirty underwear, then there's something wrong with you!

When I was a kid we called then wi**ers. They were not rare or special, and we were only slightly less mean to them than the black kids were.

So, if I identify with the trees and bark at you it is OK?

No, that would be crazy. Trees don't bark at people.

However, if you identify as a cat and hiss at dogs, that would be okay.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-3419631/Woman-says-s-CAT-trapped-human-body.html

A woman who believes she was born a cat has opened up about her life as a feline, describing how she has a superior sense sense of hearing and sight which allows her to hunt mice in the dark.

Nano, 20, from Oslo, Norway, makes the revelation in an interview published on the NRK P3 Verdens Rikeste Land YouTube channel, and it's been viewed 122,000 times.

And she claims to possess many feline characteristics including a hatred of water and the ability to communicate simply by meowing.

In the video Nano, who reflects her inner cat by wearing a pair of pointed ears and an artificial tail begins her interview with a series of rather convincing 'meows'. She then explains that she first discovered her true identity as a teenager.

'I realised I was a cat when I was 16 when doctors and psychologists found out what was "the thing" with me. Under my birth there was a genetic defect,' she explains in the video.

Walking through Oslo's central station the presenter asked Nano what she could hear and see that a normal person might not.

'Suitcases rolling on the ground,' she says, 'Keys clinking in pockets. People with ice crampons under their shoes.'

Then all of a sudden, she lets out a hiss and takes a step back.

'There is a dog over there,' she explains. 'Sometime I hiss when meeting dogs in the street. It's because of their behaviour and my instinct automatically reacts by hissing.'

You still aren't willing to make that kind of long term commitment with your pillow? I get it, you probably have a few pillows and couldn't possibly choose just one, no matter how crusty they get.

Thing is, an auto rickshaw is NOT known as a tuk tuk in the Philippines. Its a trike. Tuk tuk is Thailand.

Skylab-ride.jpg

The skylabs are my favourite

On one hand I see this and think how unsafe and crazy it is, but on the other hand I admire the level of freedom they have to do this without even having to worry about trouble. Try doing stuff like this here and you get arrested and probably even do jail time.

Still would not want to live in those areas though, too freaking hot. :p

By using the label 'transracial' you're implying that he's somehow less than a 'real' Filipino. He is simply Filipino and that is it. Anything else shows you to be a horrible bigot.

Now if I tried this in America, I'd probably get pulled over. I'm car pooling, damnit!

They'd be going a good 20-25mph+ on those things, i only saw them out in the countryside where there wasn't much traffic
