Transporting CPU & Motherboard

Hi Everyone, I recently upgraded my Cpu & Board & a friend who doesn't live near by wanted my old set, which I was going to ship to them. Since the upgrade was Amd to Intel, I don't have the original little plastic holder that AMD cpu's come in.

I wanted to get some opinions on how to ship the CPU (keep it in the socket, remove the cpu & place it into a anti static bag, etc).

Currently I still have the cpu in the MB socket, which the motherboard is in a anti static bag, in the new MB box (I have removed the heatsink & Fan)

Thanks

That sounds fine. If it's an AMD board, or even if it's an Intel LGA, leaving it in the socket for shipping is fine. You definitely should remove the heatsink, and ship that separately.
