I have my new 19" monitor, and I need to bring it to school, which is an hour away. The box cannot fit in my car, so I'm going to have to just put the monitor on the car seat. What is the best way to secure/protect the monitor during the drive?

Thanks

The seat belt and some stuffing...

Actually, i do this all the time, i have even been involved in a car crash and the monitor was ok...

I would make sure that the monitor glass is facing the seat so that the glass portion is protected. Then I would use a seatbelt and some more stuffing as Patrick recommended.

If you're really concerned about it...

1) Cover the glass with bubble wrap, then tape cardboard over that.
2) Lay it face down on the seat, wrap a blanket around it, & buckle it in.
3) Proceed as normal.

They really aren't that hard to transport.

I put mine on the floor in the back and then push back the seat as far as it will go, to support the monitor. This has gotten my 19" to and from school a few times, and when i moved.
