Jason Statham rocks...sequels suck! A few good chase scenes, till they become unbearably saturated by Hollywood over the top special effects. Fight scenes are cool, then bam!, over the top.

All-in-all, a renter in hindsight.
 
man.... hollywood has run out of ideas. Nothing but sequels nowadays.

Come to think about... video games are the same way now.

Like all these movies about rock stars now, when it was political figures. Soon there will be movies about janitors!!! Starring Rob Schneider as guy, who became a girl, who became a monkey and has to clean the toilet of the president.....hilarity ensues.
 
It looked like a big Audi commercial to me from the trailer. Not that there is anything wrong with that, though... It's a cool car! 🙂
 
First movie had style up till when he started making out with the girl, then it became a regular kungfu movie. Second looks horrible.
 
I thought it was a pretty fvcking cool movie actually. Maybe I haven't seen the first one in a while but this movie elicited the same kind of "oh hell yeah" response that the opening scene in the original Blade got. Ok so maybe it wasn't THAT cool, but it was close.

Some of the special effects were a bit unrealistic though. I think unrealistic special effects have to fit the scenario. The vampires dying by turning to ash in blade, for example, works despite being unrealistic because it makes sense. But in Blade II they made some of his CG movements too unrealistic and synthetic and your mind instantly saw it as CG and not some half vampire hybrid kicking ass. Special effects have to walk a fine line between being impressive and believable. A few scenes where he's beating the crap out of 30 guys reminded me a bit too much of Matrix 2 where Neo is fighting 300 agent smiths by himself and even though he's a badass, you're still like "yeah, right."

I wish they would cast jason statham in more movies. Vin Diesel can be a badass action star (pitch black) but he doesnt have the finesse or class that Statham has. Like comparing Arnold to the original James Bond.

anyway, i just got back from the movie

LET ME SAY THIS MOVIE IS FVCKIN AWESOME... OVER THE TOP TO THE EXTREME AND ITS VERY WELL DONE!!!!! impossible action.... sooo fun to watch! i dont understand how any of you can be so uptight to think that this movie is meant to be taken seriously! it's meant to be a fun watch and nothing more.. enjoy it for what it is and you will enjoy it very much!

ok i admit ima little drunk, but yeah, i had a blast watching this movie. the driving, fighting, babe and hell, even the story was actually a bigger part of the movie

I LOVE HOW THEY SET IT UP FOR A THIRD ONE.. CANT WAIT TIL FRANK IS OUT TRANSPORTING AND KICKING ASS AGAIN YESSSSSSSS
 
Part 1 was the most ridiculous movie ever.
1. Shoot the house
2. Shoot the house some more.
3. Shoot the house even more.
4. Rocket launcher the house.

wtf? Why not just fire the rocket first? Oh yeah, because the movie is CRAAAZYYYYY.
 
was anyone else like 'whoa...that's matthew modine...he's OLD"? I still think of him as the guy in Vision Quest and Full Metal Jacket.
 
another mindless stupid movie..

saw the preview and was not surprised at all, I didnt expect much to begin with..

however, I found another movie while I was looking at this pos.

It's called The Warrior , seems like it will be an interesting one to watch 🙂
 
jesus why even pay to see this movie if you have such a bad attitude going in? If you know you don't like action movies just don't watch them.

exactly, I'm NOT going to pay $10 per person to see pos movie like this 🙂 This will be rented and enjoyed @ my home setup.

I dont know who you are replying to but the type isnt what turns me off, its the pos movies that I dont like.

 
Not every movie is meant to win an academy award for screen play, I like mindless over the top action movies every now and than, and I'll be seeing this one tommowow.
