Transparrent WINamp skin?

Agreed. The only viable option I've found is Ghostamp.

Any skinners lurking here? It would be awesome if you could make a decent transparent skin.

I don't know if this is what you're looking for, but I hope it helps. There's a plug-in that you can download to make your winamp window transparent. You can download it here. I haven't tried it though

Also, I heard that winamp3 has skinning support built in.

Do you mean transparent (completely see-through) or translucent (kinda see-through). I dont think Winamp skins themselves can be translucent, but there are various plugins to make them translucent.

You guys are thinking of alpha transparency, which first of all, is not possible with bitmaps (Winamp skins use bitmaps), and second of all, Winamp has no support for.

However, there are plugins for Winamp which let you use alpha transparency (in Win2k, XP) to make your Winamp transparent.

So, there are no transparent Winamp skins. But you can take any Winamp skin and make it transparent yourself.



edit: CorporateRecreation: no luck for XMMS....unless someone makes an XMMS alpha transparency plugin.

I usually hide XMMS/Winamp anyways

Click on TransparentFX, should be at v1.5 now. Only for Win2k and XP. Not sure what you wanted, but its what I use since I dont like skins.

what OS do you have?
if you have win 2k/XP then you could use a program called Glass 2k. It has some problems, but it does work.
