Ok, here is my setup. I have networks at separate locations ( 10.1.x.x and 10.2.x.x ). Each network has an internet connection through a router on location.

What I want to do is have any packets directed to the other network (say, from 10.1.1.5 to 10.2.1.5) be sent through a VPN tunnel to the destination network.

I know that Windows 2k has routing and internet connection sharing capabilities as well as VPN client and server functionality. Would it be possible to set up a VPN connection on each box (both client and server?) and then route the packets into the appropriate end of the VPN tunnel? The W2k router would replace the existing router at each location.

By transparent I mean that no end user machine would need to have a VPN support installed. I know this is possible with specialty hardware such as an ADI VPN device, but can it be done with Windows 2000?

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks
