Transparent corningware

IIRC, we spent a week or two studying that stuff in ceramic engineering (Alfred Univ; about an hour from Corning); I might have my notes in the garage if you really wanted details. It's been too many years for me to remember all the details. Which properties are you more amazed by? The transparency? (carefully controlling the cooling rate to a specific rate), or the strength properties (more related to the amount of compression the glaze is under upon cooling.)
