Transparency AA tested on GeForce 6 Series

I thought this might be interesting.

Even more interesting perhaps is that the article claims ATi will be adding multi-sampling AAA support, though with their currently broken AAA implementation who knows how that will turn out.

Anyway, the article is here.

Kudos to nVidia for allowing older cards to use this feature.

I believe the 6.7's (somewhere around there) added Adaptive AA to older ATI cards. I could be wrong though. It is nice to see older cards recieve some of the newer features.

I've honestly never had a problem with ATI's Performance AAA. Of course, I rarely use the feature since I normally just go with Quality AAA or nothing at all so.... who knows.

Its funny because nVIDIA didnt release this feature along with the 6 series. Probably because they decided to beat the architecture to death by renaming NV47 to G70 while having more time to finish NV50 hence G80.

I also heard about ATi releasing new AA modes. Sounds interesting.
