Transmission issues.

I've got a 98 Pontiac Montana. 3.4l v6 . It has an issue when shifting into I think 3rd. It will shift at around 30mph when I let the pedal off otherwise it doesn't shift until 40mph give or take. I don't think it's slipping. Another strange thing is that the rpm gauge does not work. Any ideas?


EDIT: So i took it to the shop and they said its missing 3rd gear entirely.....Think some ductape and super glue can fix it?
