I am assuming this is a transmission issue.
What should I be looking in a shop to get this diagnosed? Where to go / where to avoid? I live north of Seattle near the King County/Snohomish County board (Shoreline/Lynnwood).
In the last couple weeks the van has "reved up" a little before shifting. Didn't think much of it. Yesterday I got a shuttering clunk once, felt like I went over a small patch of rough road/pot hole. That had me more concerned. Today it did this 4 or 5 times in my hour commute.
I assume I need to get this checked out ASAP. I have heard bad stories about transmission shops but of my friends with the bad stories couldn't really advise a good place.
My pocket book is already crying hahaha 'Tis life. Thanks for any feedback and advise.
