I doubt that anyone has a Crusoe here, but they are another cpu designer. Anyway, TMTA went public, but they had already issued shares to other companies before that. Some of these shares were locked-up for trading. They all became available for trading today and the stock openned trading today down 20%. AMD has been rumored in the past as a potential suitor of this company. I wonder if they are a little bit more interested now?

Anybody have a crusoe or thought about getting one?

The reason why is that there is a 15 million share lockup ending today and all the inside investors are dumping it.

Though I would have thought getting the Toshiba win would have propped it up some.

supply = demand and supply is much bigger today, so price drops. market cap should be the same.

More like 100 million!! With this amount the drop could last for days.

"Separately, Santa Clara, Calif.-based Transmeta shares shed a whopping 23 percent to $11.25 on volume of 8.3 million. The company confirmed that approximately 109 million shares of its stock, or about 85 percent of the shares outstanding, were released from lock-up restrictions over the weekend. The company made its stock debut in November 2000."

I've heard only about 15% of the 100+ million are being unlocked today.

Not all 100+ million. That would be insane if that much was unlocked in one day.

If 15% is unlocked today and stock dives 20% I'd hate to be holding this one. The shorts are sure having one heck of a day though and if there is 85% left to go, then they have a bright future because Toshiba news was cleverly released today, but was met with little fanfare.

Well, they also released news regarding a win with at a new server company founded by ex-Compaq employees. I'm sure they had a feeling their stock was going to tank today. Too bad the news didn't do anything for them.

Was that server news announcement from today, or was it old? I can't seem to find it.
