This is basically the Sharp Actius MP30P vs. SONY VAIO VGN-T350P/L or any other sub-3.5 lb notebook.

I don't want anything over 3.5lbs since I will also have a desktop for my main uses.

Considering Transmeta has folded up shop (and sold their assets for $15 million) I don't think I'd even consider investing in a lappy with that technology.

They didnt fold up shop, they stopped making chips and instead sell tech to other companies.

Just get a IBM x41 and be happy. Why waste time with Sony garbage? You realize it is garbage don't you?

Folded up shop means they went under entirely which they have not. They just changed biz models
