There are a ton of app stores out there but most everything can be found in the Play Store. For works-in-progress, the developers typically (almost always) have a thread on XDA and you can download the app there (and often for free). Google "Better Battery Stats" for an example - it's a wonderful app that tracks what eats your battery, and it's normally several dollars in the play store, but the developer keeps an up-to-date development thread on XDA and allows free downloads there.

Any app that isn't in the play store isn't there because the developer hasn't submitted it yet.

I currently have multiple iteration's of "Puzzle and Dragons" running on my iPhone with multiple user accounts so that I can have multiple characters in that game. Can this be done with Android?
I believe creating multiple users on your phone should allow multiple data sets per app.

Ah wait, I think you got a One. Have fun waiting for HTC to update. :p
