I have my main system on the Abit BH6, version 1.0, with a sloket running a celeron 566 overclocked to 856. My video card is the Leadtek Geforce2 MX. Now everything has been running solid and I have lots of programs that I have downloaded over 2 yrs that I use. This board has been very good but I like to get more speed getting a Celeron tulatin and agpX4 and extra ide channels that the ST6 would give me. I also wouild be using my old memory which is running @ cas 2 ,2- 256k dims. My main question is what do I have to do to just switch out my old board with this one without having to reinstall anything if possible. I am running Win 98 with all the upgrades.
Would I have to install different chipset drivers since I would be going from the BX to the 814ep? And if I have to, is it ok to do it over the old drivers that I have running which is from Microsoft?
