I don't get it. OBD-II hardware interfaces run about $40. Software prices vary (free, demo, $$) but at worst it does not approach $350.

the OBD-Rx tool is equivelant to the Actron's CP9145 ($299) with the extra feature of sending data to a server for later review and the flexibility to have it in your phone!

I am really interested in your product and or service. It will surely save me a lot of time and or money. It is hard to believe I have managed to get by for so long without it.

hmm not too bad. would be nice to have when i cant get my hands on a scanner. does this read older model cars, because im pretty sure my 90 teg is an obd-0?

me: that's amazing, but what about clean-up?!
Cri9024: i'm glad you asked! the CP9145 is easy to clean and store. just press the button, and you're done!
me: wow, how did i ever get along without this?
Cri9024: the CP9145 is versatile, too! it is a cell phone, diagnostic tool, garage door opener, GPS receiver, stun gun, and nuclear missile launcher. and if you call now, you get a free year of Spam magazine!

Edit: sorry, you sound like an infomercial

Where can I get an OBD-II interface for $40? I've been unable to find one under $70.

Thanks for any info.

While you guys are calling spam, I say it's legit and pretty cool. However, it only supports Nextel phones and two nokia models (6600 and 6620).

If I hadn't just purchased my $130 ScanGuage for OBDII cars, and had a compatible phone, i'd definitely be all over this.

Yea - I paid $125 or mine last year. Good investment its saved much more than what I paid for it. My truck's too old to visit Autozone evertime an O2 sensor fails...

If you're just looking for a simple code reader, Harbor Freight Tools sells one for around $40.

FWIW- recently saw a universal code reader on sale at Harbor Freight Tools B&M for $39.99 reg $ 49.99 . I have been using the free service at Autozone but I would really like to get a logging scantool for my laptop or palm one day .

you can read codes for free with most cars. You just need to know a sequence of things to do. I have to turn the key on and off three times for my jeep. My bmw is turn key to on and mash gas pedal 5 times.

Search eBay for OBD II, then sort by price.
