Transfers between ING and checking account?

Are they instant?

If I set up ING as a separate savings account, but I want to go and pay something... can I instantly transfer the $$ to my checking and have my online bill payment draw off that?

No, not instant. Takes a few days depending on how much you transfer and when.

Has been up to a week when I have transfered $1000+.

That's 2 business days. Transfered on Monday, received on Wed. Pretty standard. My transfers also take 2-3 business days.
 
Example from my account..

Transfered $50 on Sept. 8th. Account says it wont be available until Sep. 15.

That is going INTO the account though, the other way around might be quicker but I don't have any numbers on that.
