I've got the line-out of my stereo system connected to the Line-In connector of my SB Live. How do I record the audio tapes as WAV files so I can burn them to CDs? Sound Recorder will only do 60 seconds max.

If you want to you could download musicmatch jukebox to record from line in sources. Its one of those all in one programs, but I know it does a very good job of recording line programs. Go to musicmatch

Soundforge is good.. but is a pro level sound editing/mixing/making/doing program.. and costs $
I don't know about musicmatch, but if it's free it can't be bad.. :)

I transferred a lot of my Audio Cassettes to CD's using Creatives Wave Studio. This software came with my old Creative AWE64 sound card. I now use a SBLive Value and this software still works fine. This software is 422 kb - if you want I will attach it to an email. Leave me a private message with the email address where you want me to send it.

Musicmatch seems to be working great, thanks for the recommendation.

Use Cool Edit 2000 to record your tapes. It has relatively easy to use tools for removing hiss and background noise and for re-equalizing your recording. Using MusicMatch or Spin doctor for analog recordings is a poor solution compared to other things out there. Unless you don't care how it sounds.
