My Mom is getting a new laptop and needs to have Wordperfect on it for some court documents that she uses. She has Wordperfect on her old machine, but no longer has the installation disks. Is it possible to transfer the program. We have PCAnywhere, so we have a connection, but i know that we need more than just the wordperfect folder. Are there .dll files in the windows directory or registry entries that can make this possible? thanks

Since she still in the process of acquiring the laptop, tell her to get one that has Wordperfect. Save yourserlf a lot of trouble this way.

A lawyer illegially copying wordperfect, shame shame! There is a way, but I dont know. I think it would probably be easier to just flip the bill and buy a new copy.

I don't think if would work anyway. Cuz Wordperfect writes to the registry. by just copying the program files to the laptop, it will not execute the program.

Yep, there is a way.

Its called AlohaBob.

Its a program that will transfer all applications and registry that will only be pertinent to those things to the new computer.

Have used it several times for clients.
