Transferring programs from one comp to another

My Mom is getting a new laptop and needs to have Wordperfect on it for some court documents that she uses. She has Wordperfect on her old machine, but no longer has the installation disks. Is it possible to transfer the program. We have PCAnywhere, so we have a connection, but i know that we need to move more than just the wordperfect folder. Are there .dll files in the windows directory or registry entries that can make this possible? thanks

The program needs to be a fresh install for it to properly associate file, registry, and system commands. This is also deemed necessary by the software manufacturer to protect the copyright on the software...

Just a thought, and I don't know if it would work in your situation. Might...if you can get the laptop drive to show as a drive letter (maybe networked?). Partition Magic comes with a program called Magic Mover (at least it used to). This is meant to move programs from one drive to another (not cloning, but actually what you want to do). I have seen this used flawlessly moving a couple programs, and have a friend who moved a whole partition worth of programs this way.

It was pretty neat to see. Changed all the registry entries, pointers, etc. You might consider this, or possibly there is a shareware or freeware that would do this.

Please let us know if you are successful in doing this. I've always wanted to try it.
