Transferring from PC to Mac

I am in the process of obtaining a new-to-me Intel Mac Mini. It is going to replace a Shuttle SD11G5 running Windows XP (which will be for sale soon, BTW). I am going to be installing Parallels on the Mini.

Is there a way to copy the Shuttle's Windows installation, with all the profiles and applications in place, to be used in Parallels on the Mini?

Usually, licenses cannot be transfered between computers. You'll have to buy a new XP license me thinks. Other than that, it's just a matter of copying your files and settings over. IIRC, XP does have a utility for that.

Personally, I'd run Windows in bootcamp on the Mini. DDR3 has shot up in price and VMs really benefit from 4gb.

This is not a computer specific copy of Windows. I can transfer it from computer to computer.

What I want to do is copy the entire installation from the Shuttle to Parallels and try to avoid the installation hassles. There are a lot of customizations and tweaks I rather not have to redo.

This Mini has 4gb of RAM. Also, I do not want to have to reboot every time I want to use Windows. I use Parallels on my MacBook like this and have not had any problems.

I know that is possible with nearly any installation of VMware (Fusion/server/workstation). Best bet would be to ask Parallels, I'm sure there's a way. VMware's is like VMware Importer.
