Transferring from an old HDD?

I recently bought a new computer because i fried the CPU on the one that I built, but there's a lot of things on that old Hard Drive that I want to keep.

How should I go about transferring those files without opening up my new computer and installing the hard drive? (I don't wanna void the warrenty, have had too many experiences with that)

Is there some sort of device I can use? or maybe should i pop the hard drive in on another computer on my network?

answered your own question..🙂

make sure you have the drive(your one from dead system..) set either as CS or Slave under the existing comp's Master/CS HD

slave or master is not important...it's what you have configured as the bootable device.

If it is C: and u put a slave on it....it will still boot C:.
