transferring from a camcordr to hard drive

hi guys, i need help i want to do some editing on premiere. but i could not capture the footage from my camcorder..

the camcorder is a Panasonic NV-GS35 does anyone know any software that could capture the footage coz' i lost the driver CD for the camcoreder.. and i've tried panasonic's site but there's no software that i could download from the site...

With Premier you cannot use the included USB 2.0 cable. that cable really only works with panasonics software which for me only captured small clips and not the full video.

You need a firewire port, and a firewire cable. The 4-6-pin cable (or whatever) which goes from the camera to the firewire slot.

Once you do that, Premiere will see the camera.

I also have a panasonic digital camcorder and use premier..
