Hi guys

Mothers computer died with windows 10 it won't load. Going to fresh install windows on it but I a, having issues transferring files off the disk

Basically windows boot drive, she has files in documents, downloads, desktop etc.

Was trying to move dir to a USB but it's giving me access denied, I am unable to copy them either. Any ideas?

If I load off a Linux bootable USB am I going to be able to copy these files to a USB drive?

Looking for ideas, will be at her work not my place so I cannot pull disk out and put it in a dock and drag drop etc.

Given he mentioned it's at her work, I'm guessing this is a company owned system, in which case Bitlocker may be enabled.
