Transferring files from old HD....

Hi All,

I have some files on an old HD I want to transfer to my new drive. I hooked up the old drive and Windows XP recognizes it but if I try to view the drive contents it asks me if I want to format. Obviously I don't want to do that. Is there a program or a specific method I need to use in order to extract the old files?

You need to go to Disk Management, Control Panel/Admin Tools/Disk Management, right click the HDD in question and change it to a Basic HDD. If you can't change it check it here,
