Transferring data to new HD

I just bought a new hard drive. I was wondering if there is any way to transfer the data from my old hard drive onto my new hard drive. My old one is a generic brand HD that came with my Dell. The new one is a Western Digital Caviar Special Edition. Any ideas?

Just use the copying software that comes with the drive.

If you don't want to spend any money on disk imaging software and your hard drive was not OEM, I also agree that you could use the copy software that comes with the retail WD hard drive. Quick and easy.

I got it retail, so I'll try that. Just gotta wait for it to arrive
