Transferring Data Between Two Computers

Ok, So I have to transfer a bunch of files between two computers. One computer is online, and the other is not. This is just temporary solution to transfer files, what do I need to do this? Would a crossover cable work, and just plug the cable in the Ethernet ports?

Hmm. Your cable is probably straight and to connect directly two computers you need crossover cable.

So basically get this crossover cable and plug it in the Ethernet ports of both computers. Then I would have to share the computers, and I?ll be able to transfer files?

And then you have to configure correctly Windoes Network Setting.
