Transferring Apple Care plan

Im about to put my macbook air up on ebay to sell and I got the apple care protection plan. What kind of steps am I going to have to take to ensure that the person purchasing the laptop wont have any issues when he needs to get his laptop serviced?

I think the warranty is tied to the serial number on Apple product.

Worse case scenario is that you may need to collect contact info from buyer, then call up Apple and have them update info.

I recently bought a Macbook from a guy with Applecare. Basically, collect the buyers information... and send that in a letter to Applecare stating that you are selling it to that person.

You shouldn't have any issues at all. 🙂

Yup, Apple customer service is great about transfers. I've sold a machine or two in the past with Applecare without a hitch. They are one of the least-hassle companies I've dealt with in that regard 🙂
