Hey guys, I just got done putting together my new computer and I want to transfer all my old messages and accounts from my old computer. Where does Outlook keep its history files? Is it as easy as jsut replacing the folder in Outlook?

Thanks

e-Backup works great for that. 🙂

I don't see any explanation of how it works. Will this make some sort of backup for, say I need to wipe a person's system out and they want to keep all of thier old settings in Outlook?

It takes all the folders, messages, address book, identities, etc, and compresses them in to a single file. Only thing I've had to reenter is the account passwords sometimes. I used it myself a couple days ago after formatting my wife's computer and reinstalling Windows, good stuff.

So it puts them all into one file that I can put on a CDR or a floppy? Then install e-backup on the newly installed OS and copy off of the disc I made from the old OS?

Yup, exactly.

Cool thank you😎 I didn't mean to hijack this thread but my Sister in-law 's system is so bloated with stuff I don't even want to mess with and this is exactly what I was going to ask about anyway.
