Florida resident here...checked my state's department of vehicle registration and such, but my situation seems to be a gray area they don't address.
I'm basically purchasing a Civic from a private party this Monday to replace my Taurus. I want to transfer my tag over, but from the sounds of it this will be a problem because the person I have lined up to buy my old Taurus isn't coming until *next* Friday, so I will technically own two cars for four days.
How would that work? Insure the Civic, take my Taurus tag off, and transfer it to the Civic, or will that not work since I'm still the owner of the Taurus? Try to hide the civic not having a plate in my parking lot until my Taurus is sold? Not sure...first time doing all this by myself. My dad helped me on this one 6 years ago.
