Transfering Data from IDE HDD to SATA2

Greetings all, i would like to transfer my data from my old pc into a new HDD and i was wondering what was the most effecient and fastest way of doing so?
 
Easiest: Network the 2 computers together, turn on file sharing on the old PC

Fastest: Install the old IDE drive in the new PC temporarily to copy files

In-between: IDE external enclosure
