Transfering a data hard drive to another computer

Ok, here is what I have and what I want to do.
I have one computer with WinXP Pro and another with the same.
Computer #1
Has 2 hard drive the primary hard drive only contains the operating system.
The second hard drive has only contains data. no operating system

Compute #2
Has one hard drive right know.
I want to take the hard drive out of computer #1 and put it into computer #2.

Will I need to do anything to read the data?

I remember some were that I will have to take control of the data. Am I correct on this or was it about some thing else.

Just move the HDD and you'll be fine. If drive 2 has any applications on it that where installed on PC1 they won't run on PC2 till you reinstall the programs on PC2. Do saved games/data used by the programs will be lost.

No issues if both are formatted the same ,except as above.
If #2 is formatted in FAT32 and #1 is NTFS , you won't be able to read anything at all from drive 1 on 2.
Make sure you convert #2 to NTFS first if that's the case.
The other way around will work fine.
