Transfer Settings from Office 2000 to 2003 on different pc's

I've been searching Microsoft's site and Googling the Web looking for an answer. Maybe someone here can help me? Maybe I should have come here first? Here's my problem:

I've built a new PC and want to use the Transfer Files and Settings Wizard to transfer my old Office 2000 (especially Outlook) settings to the new pc, which has Office 2003. Now, I ran the wizard before I installed 2003 on the new pc. I hope that wasn't bad. Just to make life even more interesting, I also moved the My Documents folder to a different partition, although I don't remember if that was before or after I ran the wizard. (I'm only transferring settings using the wizard; I intend to import files later.)

Am I asking for the Moon? Did I screw up? I know I can simply use the Import/Export tool in Outlook 2003, but I would like to figure this one out first. Hope someone can help.

What I would do is export everything as a .pst file from outlook 2000 and then import it with 2k3. That should catch all of your folders, contacts, and calendar. Not sure about other settings like filtering and mail accounts (has been a while since I have done it).

Thanks. I ended up doing exactly what you said. Found out that Outlook 2003's .pst is a new format and isn't compatible with older versions. Using the Import tool is the only way. I had to recreate my account settings and rules, which is a pain, but could be worse.
