Transfer Mini DV to Hard Drive???

I would like to copy a video from my mini DV camcorder to my computer to burn on a dvd. Can I transfer via USB or do I have to use firewire?

While possible with USB, it looks like sh!t. Trust me, use firewire.

Depends on the DV Cam.

My Panasonic's always allowed transfer via USB and it worked great. The myth that you NEED Firewire to transfer video is just that...myth.

However, many cameras don't support transferring the video off via USB.
