Transfer in Fall or Spring?

This is going to seem a bit convoluted, but I'll make it as clear as possible. I go to a community college, and I need 28 more credits to graduate. I can take 11 credits this summer, and 17 in the fall. However, I can also take 6 in the summer, and then take 12 in the fall, 12 in the spring.

I get financial aid + scholarships, so they give me a large check at the end of every semester.

What would you do, just take it easy and collect the check, or just work my ass off and try to get it done?
 
It depends. The title of the post says you're transferring, do you mean from a CC to a four-year college? If so, do you like college or do you just want to get it over with and get to work as soon as possible?

I loved college, so I'd say to stretch it out and finish in the spring. You're going to be working for the next 30 or so years so why not experience this short part of your life for all it's worth.

I'd stretch it out. IMHO meeting new people at college will be a fair bit easier in the fall than spring.

After graduating from college, it is mostly work. So take your time and enjoy college, I wouldn't cram if I were you. Good luck.

Then I'd definitely stretch out the time. There's a big difference between college life at a CC and a 4-year college. I went to a CC for 3 semesters and didn't particularly enjoy it, but loved the rest of my time at a university. You might have the same experience.

If you don't know what you want to do yet you'll find lots of different opportunities and people to talk it over with at a bigger school. I didn't want to teach, I started out majoring in Music Theory, but at the university a lot of people told me they thought I'd make a good teacher and that I'd enjoy it. I also didn't particulary like history in high school or CC, but loved it at the university. Switched my major to that.

Yeah, that seems like the best idea. Esp, since I have more scholarships this year and at the end of fall I should be getting like 3k.

Originally at Rutgers it was Philosophy. Then I transferred to CC, majored in Math. Dropped math to major in Gen. Studies to graduate faster.

I'm not sure what it's going to be when I go back to uni.

Thanks for the all the advise though. I guess I'm gonna stick around at CC for a little while.
