transfer files to pc from mp3 player?

hello I just inherted a creative zen micro from my dad however i want to be able to pull some of the mp3s and recordings that are on the player off of there and store them on my windows xp pc? is there any way to do this? for some reason i can only seem to copy files to the player itself and not the other way around. Sorry to make this so short as i have to run....

check the creative website. theres a proggie (MTP i believe) that i use which allows me to look into the player like in windows explorer. i think u need to upgrade the firmware on ur player though.

If you use Creative Zen Media Explorer (if your micro is anything like my sleek), go through the options until you find one that allows you to show your player in My Computer. then, find it in my computer and copy files with copy/paste.

iirc, though, the zen micro is UMS-enabled... not sure on that one though.

it's not free, but notmad explorer by redchair software is a great app to manage your zen micro

wmp10 should also give you this functionality, haven't tried in some time tho
