I've had a Dell Vostro 430 Mini Tower PC case close to 4 years and whilst most of the components are still going strong since I've upgraded various things like the power supply, graphics card, Ram, Hard drives. I find I'm reaching a limit as to what I can add in this case. Not to mention certain slots are blocked like the spare PCI express because of the terrible layout inside the case.
I was doing some research but can't find any definitive answer as to whether I'll be able to successfully transfer everything in the current Dell Vostro 430 to the new Corsair case which I'm planning to buy soon.
I've read things in the past about Dell motherboards being non-standard and difficult to move into new cases, and am hoping this isn't the case here. If the motherboard does fit in the new case, might it be that there is a gap where the rear ports are? I haven't touched the inside of a case in about 3 years but I presume the motherboard in the Dell Vostro is smaller than a normal one...
Sorry for the rambling. Hopefully some of you guys who are familiar with cases and particularly motherboards can advise me better. If you need any additional information I'll do my best to provide it.
Thanks for your help!
