Transcend notebook memory

I'm upgrading my cousin's toshiba M60 satellite's ram for him(only came with 256mb🙁). This is my first time upgrading a notebook that uses ddr2 sodimm. I found this transcend memory to be the cheapest and it even has a $10 MIR.

it says the chips on here are samsung chips so i guess it's pretty good. has anyone had any experience with this memory before? i'm also considering the kingston since it's got good reviews. any suggestions? TIA 🙂

I'm wondering the same thing. I've seen transcend used quite a bit in some of the smaller builders computers (ABS uses them I'm pretty sure) but I have never used this brand my self. I need to purchase 2 1gb sticks of this within the next few days and I am basically running the same debate as you are. Purchase and try to save a few bucks or go with the kingston.

I 'bought' two of these from BestBuy when they were running their free memory coupon. 2 512MB sticks of PC2700 SODIMM's. works great in my wife's 600m. She's not a heavy user though. Everything installed great and they both worked witout a hitch out of the box.

Thanks for the input, I went and bought it today!! Haven't received it yet, I'll keep u guys posted once I get it installed 🙂
