Ehh, Id Much rather go see Savatage perform Hall of the Mountain King or something... TSO is good, but, not as good as what they were in the 80s.

I am going tonight. Is the show a stand up the whole time situation or is something I can relax in my seat and watch? I am taking my mom and I know there is no way she can stand up for the entire show. Never been and I am little confused as to what to expect. Heavy metal concert or orchestra?

Orchestra.

They can be progressive metal orchestra band for all care lol. My main concern is whether or not we will be standing up the whole time. I bought seats at a hockey stadium so I was thinking we would be sitting considering it is a Christmas show but I did not want to be surprised tonight.

You should be sitting most of the time 🙂 You'll be standing to let people get up and buy more drinks.

You will likely spend most of the show sitting. Definitely not heavy metal concert but I wouldn't say orchestra concert either.

Whew. That takes the stress away. Casual standing doesn't bother her at all. Standing for 2 hours would though. Heck I think it would get to me.

Went last night and it was legit. Really happy I got to experience it. Def try to start going on an annual basis. Thanks to everyone on this thread that talked about it.

I went a few years ago, the flashing lights made me feel sick to my stomach, and it was pretty hot. I will pass on any further invites to that show.

She teared up. Ive given her a lot of amazing gifts for xmas and this was pretty easy comparatively and she teared up.

I may have chosen a great gift.

Seen it at the Target theater in MN. Thats been a couple years ago.
This year it was Steamroller and a lot of Nutcracker(s).
The kids you know....

I went to see the band a few years ago and I think it was worth the money. The band played hard and long, almost none stop for a couple hours. I felt that the band was there to play for the fans and not there to preach or stuck up to the fans.

I will see them again when I have the chance. The ticket was not expensive at all.

Well. I took the wife last night. She thought it was amazing, It was very much a "show" and not a concert. Heavily choreographed and sterile IMHO . Id go again as many times as the wife wants though. She loved it so it made it worth it.

I think this thread is the last time I saw them. I enjoyed the previous show style a bit more but would go see them again if their dates in Detroit were convenient
