A friend of mine may be in line to get his dads SVX (I think its about a 92) as a hand-me-down. The only problem is its an automatic. And as rumor has it, the SVX never really got its own automatic transmision, it just borrowed one from the legacy, which was not meant to handle the SVX's power, and tends to tear itself up in about 60K miles.
The car has 72K on it now, so my friend figures if he's gonna have to replace it anyway, is there any chance he can make it a manual.
Any one know? Or at least know where I can find more info?
