TRAMPOLINE?!?! what the hell is that? i'm all for adding new competitions to the roster, but TRAMPOLINE?!?!?! at least add something people have heard about, and there is a general interest in, like rollerblade racing or something like that. don't just make up random sh!t.

ok, now i'm looking at the list of olympic sports, and man, are they trying to make a joke of the olympics? trampoline, team handball, synchronized swimming, water polo? what a joke. i watched water polo the other day, and boy was that....boring? why can't they show the good stuff like taekwondo and archery and wrestling?

Archery? Cmon man... Trampoline is 20x more fun to watch than some people staring for like a minute and then firing and arrow, then repeating.

Either way, everything is becoming an olympic sport. Soon you will see "Oil Change" as an event...

Maybe we should submit that game that Thunderbooty posted...

It has potential.

what's so funny about rollerblade racing? it's just an example, anyway. are they saying that jumping on a trampoline is more popular than rollerblading?

Hey if it's good looking women you could prolly run a cable channel or website 24/7 showing that (bounce, bounce, jiggle, jiggle)

(note to self: start sexploitation trampoline website) ;)

Triumph, over here in Britain, I'm sure trampolining is a lot more popular than something like baseball. It just depends on what sports you play in each country

Anyone see synchronized diving? That has to be the stupidest
and most boring event I've seen so far at these Olympics. At least
Trampoline has some entertainment value, you know the mere
promise of a spectacular accident is enough to keep crowds
on their toes.

During synchronized diving the commentator mentioned that most of the
competitors had only been in the sport for a year... how does a year-
old sport get full medal status? :|

Anyways I'm training for the next major Olympic event:
The Stationary Bike 300 Calorie Burn Sprint :p

Athens, here I come ;)

So the olympics are about you the viewer, not the athletes?

Jellybaby, without viewers there would be no Olympics.

Neither the Trampoline or Synchronized Diving have the worldwide
participation to warrant their inclusion in the Summer Olympics.
Trampoline may have had 2-3 competitors that weren't European and
the Synchronized Diving competition was full of atheletes that had
crossed over from the 10m Platform Diving competition less than a
year ago suggesting that the sport's invention and inclusion into
the games was nearly simultaneous. Meanwhile, the triathlon was
just added after being an international sport for what, at least
20 years?

What I wanna know is how comes Rugby or pool or some other popular game/sport isn't in the Olympics but trampolining or synchronised <add your own ending here> is?
