who has one? ...all my neighbors have 'em and I am looking like a bad uncle here....you think a 3 and 5 year old can safely play on one of these?

link? it doesn't give an age range.

With children that young, just make sure you are watching them AT ALL TIMES when they are on it.

yes, definately watch them at all times, and i'd agree with the 3 year old being kind of young. well, as long as they are under supervision it would be ok. teach them front-flips! hehe

WTH do you mean try? We would get 4 or 5 people and launch someone into space with a mean 5 person double jump.

Trampoline Safety Tips

One at a Time The cardinal rule of trampoline safety, allow only one person on the trampoline at a time.

Constant Supervision All trampoline users must have mature, knowledgeable supervision at all times.

No Somersaults Do not attempt or allow somersaults and flips. Experts say such maneuvers increase the risk of landing on the head or neck, which can cause serious injury, paralysis or death.

Safety Enclosure Trampoline net enclosures are recommended by manufacturers and experts as they prevent users from falling off.

Pad It Trampoline must have padding that completely covers metal frame, hooks and all springs.

Choose the Right Place Place trampoline away from structures and other play areas. Do not use a ladder with the trampoline because it provides unsupervised access by small children.

Look for Label There must be a label on the trampoline box stating trampolines over 20 inches tall are not recommended for children under 6 years of age.

Not fun at all.

my 13 year old nephew fell on the side of his trampline and broke his hip, had to have surgery

my neighbor's 12 year old girl fell off theirs and broke her arm

i knocked a few teeth out when i was playing on one back when i was around 10 or so

can't say i recommend anyone getting a trampoline...

A friend of mind dug a giant pit in the back of his yard and placed the tramp in there. Now the Trampoline was at ground level. They also padded the springs and metal bars. IT was great fun. Of corse, he did break his leg once but that was nothing. Only required 2 bolts to fix it :Q.

Besides the leg incident it worked well. If you did fall out you didnt hurt yourself too bad becasue you didnt fall for so high.

Well call me dangerous, unfit to be a parent or whatever but my 9, 6, 4 and 2 year old all jump on ours and in many cases all together or in combination. In fact, one of their favorite things to do is get me on there so I can get them real high. When I do, though, it's only with me and one of the kids. Everyone else must get off.

They also like to take a ball and throw it to each other while they're jumping. If it's dropped, it's a free-for-all to see who can get it.

BTW, 1 and half years and not one of them has fallen off.

We had a 16' trampoline in our backyward growing up.. my brother who is way younger than us started on it before he could even walk.. just get good bumpers to protect the springs.. and maybe even a net so they cant fall off...

I have one... two days after we got it my stupid brother attempted doing a front flip with a twist and fell off, breaking his arm in 6 places. I would only let your kids go onto it with a ENCLOSURE. They just are not that safe.

The pit idea is a good idea. That way if you fall off, you're looking at less than 8 feet or something... even better, put a bit of padding around the pit, so it's super-safe.

sounds like a great idea. My friend broke his leg while actually on the tramp it self. He just came down and hit it wrong I guess.

😀
I figure... dig the pit, make the trampoline level with the ground. Get some thick foam padding, and make a big giant ring outside the trampoline. When not in use, cover it with tarp or something. If the foam's really good, like a foot thick, the damn thing will be child proof 😛 Just make sure the springs and stuff are covered pretty well, too.

You do realise that a front flip on a trampoline is harder to pull then a summersault right?

A front flip is when your arms touch the floor then you get back to land on your feet.

Yeah the trampoline owns. Great fun.

Don't know the quality of these ones as no one in England has them but in the states you see a lot of people have them. Definately get padding. You can badly hurt yourself quite easily if your not careful.

I do Gymnatics and have yet to hurt myself badly. No broken bones 😀

Dam I miss the trampoline!!!!!!!!!!
