Planning to get a puppy. I want to read up on how to train them and housebreak them.

Any ideas on where to find info? I already searched through google, but I was wondering if anyone had a great website to go to.

Local library should have reference materials, books & videos.

Main thing is that it is going to take time and effort. You are being trained as much as the puppy.

I took my wifes cocker to a training class $90. Well worth it for the puppy. The wife did not do so well. I had to handle 7 of 8 classes. She was too soft hearted.

Best thing to do is enroll in a Puppy Training Class. There are lots of places that do classes specifically for puppies. I'd go with a private place rather than some class offered at the Humane Society or something because those ones seem to be kind of junky taught by volunteers rather than taught by someone who's been doing it for years.

This place is where we went (it's local) and it was great. They do have books and videos you can get as well.
